OVERVIEW & HISTORY

Founded in 2009 by Harry Wong Sudarwo, PT. Seafer Lumina Capital is a family-owned investment holding company at the heart of the food industry, with a diversified portfolio covering various parts of the value chain, from farming, processing, distribution to retail.

Back in 1982, Harry’s first venture was PT. Laut Djawa Subur, a shrimp processing and export company that also operated up to 9 cold storage facilities. Later the company was renamed PT. Seafer General Foods and operated 620Ha of shrimp cultivation ponds, processing plant, and cold storage facility in Kendal, Central Java.

For over 30 years Seafer Group has been focusing in providing quality seafood and processed products, while actively contributing to create an environmentally sustainable society.

- 1982

Established PT. Laut Djawa Subur , a shrimp processing and export company that also operated up to 9 cold storages
- 1988

PT. Laut Djawa Subur was renamed to PT. Seafer General Foods and operated 620Ha of shrimp cultivation ponds, feed plant, processing, and cold storage facilities in Kendal, Central Java. Frozen shrimp products were exported to USA, Japan, and Europe
- 2007

PT. Indoboga Jaya Makmur started its operations in food service and cold storage business, mainly in import and distribution of seafood, fruits, groceries, and ingredients
- 2008

PT. Bumi Panen Raya started processing and exporting honey to USA
- 2009

Established PT. Seafer Lumina Capital as the investment holding company of the Group
- 2012

Established PT. Surya Alam Sakti, a JV company that cultivates shrimp ponds
- 2013

PT. Anggur Merah Subur started operations in alcohol imports (wine, sake, shochu)
- 2014

PT.Seafer Lumina Capital partnered with Jababeka Group to rename and convert PT. Seafer General Foods into PT. Kawasan Industri Seafer, a 500Ha industrial estate company in Kendal, Central Java

PT. Madu Manis Makmur started processing and exporting honey, and selling sweets (coconut sugar) locally. PT. Madu Manis Makmur took over the assets and operations of PT. Bumi Panen Raya
- 2015

Established PT. Seafermart Jaya Raya, a company that imports and distributes food, and will operate an online supermarket

PT. Laut Panen Raya started importing fish (mackerel)

Established PT. Seafer Sumber Daya, a company that provides Indonesian students financing for overseas education, namely in Japan
- 2017

PT.Seafer Lumina Capital entered into a JV with Guangdong Evergreen Feed Industry Co. Ltd, and establishes PT. Evergreen Seafer Feed, a company that operates a shrimp feed plant
- 2018

PT.Seafer lumina capital entered into a JV with Hebei Bishi Industry Group and established PT. Kendal Steel Indonesia, a US$3.8bn project that will operate steel, coking coal, and power generation plants

Bryan Wong Sudarwo

Mr. Bryan W. Sudarwo, an Indonesian Citizen, was first appointed as a Director of Seafer Lumina Capital based on the resolution of AGM in 2018, with the latest reappointment in 2019. He heads ……

Previously he managed the group’s trading business, develop and managed other subsidiaries in Ready to Eat Meal Factory and Aqua Feed Factory with other outside experiences in the field of Nickel Mining and Smelter, and EPCF Company.

Mr. Bryan W. Sudarwo obtained Double Degree;

Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management Engineering

Bachelor of Science in Management & Technology with Concentration in Finance

from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, NY, USA in the year 2000.

He is related to Mr. Harry Wong Sudarwo, Mrs. Aileen Wong Sudarwo who are Directors of the Company; William Wong Sudarwo who is Commissionaire of the Company and is affiliated to the Company’s substantial shareholder.

Edwin Soeryadjaya, an Indonesian Citizen, was appointed as the Company’s President Commissioner by the Extraordinary GMS on 22 January 1997 until currently, and also serves as the Supervisor of the investment Committee of the Company and the member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee of the Company. He is also one of the main shareholders of the Company and is affiliated with Michael W.P. Soeryadjaya, the President Director of the Company and Joyce Soeryadjaya Kerr, the Commissioner of the Company.

He currently serves as the President Commissioner of PT Adaro Energy Tbk. (coal & energy), PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk. (telecommunication towers), PT Mitra Pinasthika Mustika Tbk. (consumer automotive) and PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk. (gold and copper mining). He is also the Chairman (Non-Executive) in Interra Resources Limited (oil and gas). A long-time proponent of education, he remains active in the community through his roles as co-founder of the William Lily Foundation and the member of the Board of Trustees of Ora Et Labora Foundation.

Edwin Soeryadjaya graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1974 and was awarded as Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2010.
